CRESCIMENTO DE PLÂNTULAS DE Myracrodruon urundeuva FR. ALLEM SOB DIFERENTES NÍVEIS DE SOMBREAMENTO EM VIVEIRO
Resumo
Myracrodruon urundeuva Fr. Allem.

EEDLING GROWTHOFMYRACRODRUONURUNDEUVAFR.ALLEM UNDER DIFFERENT SHADING LEVELS IN THE NURSERY
ABSTRACT - Myracrodruon urundeuva Fr. Allem. (aroeira) occurs from the Ceará state in the Northeast of Brazil to the Paraná in the South especially on mesotrophic soils. The initial development of this species was studied under full sunlight (0%) and 50%, 70% and 90% shading. The experimental design was random with 25 replicates per treatment. Height, stem base diameter, number of leaves and leaflets, mortality and leaf fall were monitored from five to 15 months, when the dry matter was also assessed. There were significant differences by Tukey at 5% for height at 13 and 15 months under 0%. Stem base diameter showed significant differenciation from nine months at 50% and 70%. At 11 and 15 months the larger significant differences were found between 0% and the other treatments. Number of leaflets were higher under 90% and 70% from seven to nine months during the dry season when the species lost most leaves. But, the highest average was found under 0% from 11 to 15 months during the rainy season. The dry matter under 0% showed significant differences for the root (4,38g), stem (0,58g), leaves (0,73g) and total (5,69g). However, root/ shoot ratio was higher at 70% (10,38g). The plants under 0% accumulated five times more total biomass (5,69g) than those at 90% (1,30g) showing the intolerant trait of this species.
